ESD Audit / Inspection

Table of Contents:

Target-Actual Comparison / Pre-Audit

The method for carrying out a target-actual comparison and a pre-audit is basically the same, only the objective is different.

The target-actual comparison is a used as general orientation, wherein the client definitely has an influence on the extent. The pre-audit, however, is likely to be seen as a preliminary step to a comprehensive audit, and is carried out in much greater detail. In this case the standard specifications are met strictly.

In both cases, the existing ESD protective elements for compliance with standards, functionality and completeness are checked and the deviations are listed.

All affected areas and work processes, from incoming goods to outgoing goods, including the management documents and staff training (level of knowledge of employees) are included and evaluated.

Finally, you will receive the following documents:

Inspection of ESD Protective Measures

With an "inspection of ESD protective measures" you get the guarantee that the physically existing ESD protection elements are in compliance with standards and that they are functional, complete, effective and appropriate.

For this purpose mainly the physically existing ESD protection measures such as workplaces, floors, machinery, packaging, transport equipment, test equipment, etc. are controlled, based on the IEC 61340-5-1 and ANSI / ESD S20.20.

(Unlike the ESD Audit, at "inspection of ESD protective measures" administrative measures, such as the ESD control program plan, work and process instructions, staff training, etc. are not included.

Finally, you will receive the following documents:

Periodical Controls

In an ESD-Audit (ESD process audit) the state of your ESD protection system is checked periodically. Here our well-trained staff ensures an objective and independent control by means of complying all standards.

With an ESD audit you can provide evidence that with high probability ESD damage can be excluded in your area.

All processes, from management documents over physically existing ESD protection elements up to the ESD awareness of employees, they all will be audited and inspected in accordance with IEC 61340-5-1 and ANSI / ESD S20.20 on regard of its standard conformity, functioning, completeness, effectiveness and practicality.

Procedure:

Finally, you will receive the following documents:

Recertification

The state of the ESD protection system must be checked periodically. The recertification audit corresponds to the first audit, however, is associated with lower audit and inspection effort, and therefore with lower costs as well.

An "ESDS process inspection" evaluates the ESD risk for an assembly or a single component throughout the manufacturing process.

An ESDS process inspection / risk analysis is recommended in the following cases:

Procedure:

A selected module or component is supported during a defined processing chain (production line, supply chain etc.) and the respective environment is analyzed regarding ESD risks.

Finally, you will receive the following documents:

Partial Audit / Partial Inspection

A partial audit / inspection part is carried out in case of:

Procedure:

Together with you the area that has to be inspected will be defined in order to determine the exact scope of the partial audit.

Finally, you will receive the following documents:
